What / O Que
Brazilomania is a short video documentary on unusual, unique and eclectic forms of art in different regions of Brazil, beyond the well-known stereotypes of samba and the carnival. The project has started in Rio de Janeiro, and hopefully will continue to include more stops throughout the country that will show a sample of creativity and diversity.
Brazilomania é um documentário curto mostrando formas únicas e ecléticas de arte em diferentes regiões do Brasil, além dos estereótipos bem conhecidos do samba e do carnaval. O projeto foi iniciado no Rio de Janeiro, e esperamos que continue a incluir mais paradas em todo o país com muitos exemplo de criatividade e diversidade.

Why / Porque
The aim is to create a video that is highly engaging and educational at the same time - so many people are fascinated with the country and want to know more about it. This project will support the local Brazilian artists, giving them a chance to reach wider audiences and share their work. Of course, it's nearly impossible to capture the full spectrum of the creative expression, but the project will provide a sample from diverse art forms including the traditional, the contemporary and the fusion.
O objetivo é criar um vídeo que é interessante e educativo ao mesmo tempo - muitas pessoas são fascinadas com o país e querem saber mais. Este projeto vai apoiar os artistas locais, dando-lhes uma chance de ter um público mais amplo e compartilhar o seu trabalho. Claro, é quase impossível capturar o espectro completo da expressão criativa, mas o projeto vai fornecer uma amostra de diversas formas de arte, incluindo o tradicional, o contemporâneo e a fusão.

When / Quando
The first phase of the project is concluded in Rio de Janeiro. The video will be available in late spring 2013. With sufficient support, the project will continue in other regions of the country.
